Classical Ballet Academy
Admission, Fees and Attire
Students New to CBA are welcome in the KEY and OPEN Programs after the start of a session.
Students will be notified if they require a placement class to determine current level and to schedule a conference between the director, student and parent “if student is a minor” to go over level placement, policies, schedule, curriculum, and address any concerns and questions in regards to this program. Tuition will be pro-rated if registering after the start of a session.
All Current Students will receive their Level Placement or Class Options for the up-coming session.
-Tuition is due each session. A late fee of $15 be applied after the first week of classes.
-Tuition will be pro-rated if registering after the start of a session.
-There are three 12 week Winter Sessions.
-Summer Session is 8 weeks for KEY Program and 1-8 weeks for Open Program.
-No refunds will be made on tuition or other fees.
-Classes are subject to change or cancellation if the minimum of five students is not met. In this case your tuition and
schedules will be adjusted accordingly.
-On occasion a student will be invited into the KEY Program who’s age and level requires an alteration of their weekly class schedule which may change their tuition bracket.
-If the instructor feels a students schedule requires adjustment during a session, the difference or balance in tuition if any, will either be credited or due at that time.

KEY Program Re-Registration Fee: $50 For students with a lapse of one or more sessions in the KEY Program. (Summer exempt)

Early Enrollment Deposit $50: Applied towards tuition on up coming session on or before the Early Enrollment Dates below.
Late Enrollment Fee $20: If enrolling after the Early Enrollment Dates below.

OPEN Dress Code
Girls Movement:
Any color leotard, Pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Light Pink knit leg warm-ups and Pink ballet sweater or snug Pink long sleeve shirt allowed when cold.
Girls all other levels:
Black leotard, Pink tights and pink ballet slippers or pointe shoes. Light Pink knit leg warm-ups and Black ballet sweater or snug Black long sleeve shirt allowed when cold.
Floor Barre:
Same ballet attire as above with clean socks and no ballet slippers. Shorts Ok.
Release & Stretch:
Comfortable attire.
Students in the KEY Program are expected:
To attend all scheduled classes of their level.
Arrive on time.
Be neat and clean and in proper dress.
Be courteous.
Work to their full potential.
Maintain their health.
Students are required to notify CBA prior to any class they will miss.
Absences and Make-ups: Listed on the class requirements, each level states the classes allowed to make-up in and the number of make-ups allowed each session.
These classes are reserved for each absent class due only to:
Illness and/or Family Medical Emergencies KEY students are required to make-up all absent days to the full extent their level allows.
Injuries: Students who are injured are to observe class. Observed classes are not considered “Absent Classes”.
Injured students who fail to observe class will be considered a “Personal Day”.
Exceptions are severe injuries which cause pain to come in.
Personal Days: Students in the Key Program are allowed a specific number of “Personal Days” appropriate to their level.
Personal days include:
Any reasons or events other than illness, injury or Family Medical Emergencies.
Injured students who fail to observe class
Students will be invited into the KEY Program the following session when:
They do not exceed their “Personal Days”
They have used their “Allowed Make-ups” as specified.
They are working to their full potential
Students will be notified if a conference is needed. Parents and students may also elect to schedule a conference if they have any questions or concerns about the program or level placement or evaluations, and to discuss any special needs and/or health issues of student, or career goals if applicable.
Make-ups are to be taken within 30 days of your missed class in any class appropriate to their age and level
